Edison award winning MediaMax CAT6 Tool-less jack featured in Sept/Oct 2018 Minnesota Business Magazine

Suttle wins the Edison Award for Innovation.

Hector-based Suttle received the Edison Award for Innovation for its MediaMAX Cat 6 Tool-less jack. The MediaMAX line of connectivity products is also designed in Hector.

High-speed home data networks require precision connections. The traditional method of installation, known as the “punch-down” method, has resulted in numerous failed connections. The MediaMAX Cat 6 Tool-less jack simplifies the installation process, ensuring more consistent connections.

Founded in 1910, Suttle is a communications systems company that specializes in wired-network solutions for home and business, as well as edge-of-network solutions for service providers. The company’s jacks and other connectivity products are in 67% of households in the United States. They have evolved from analog telephone connectors to the precision manufactured digital jacks required by today’s broadband connections.

Suttle joins past Minnesota-based Edison Award winners, such as 3M, Mayo Clinic and St. Jude Medical. The Edison Awards are a program of Edison Universe, a nonprofit organization that fosters future innovators. Nominees are judged by more than 3,000 senior business executives and academics from across the nation.
