Why choose UL listed products?
UL listing is all about product safety. In the US, many home insurance policies require that electrical products installed in the home be UL listed. UL stands for Underwriters Laboratories, a nonprofit safety organization that was established over 100 years ago, engaged in testing products and comparing them against established standards to grant certification.
UL product certification is an important indicator of commitment to quality products that are safe for the consumer. Suttle’s products are UL listed whenever applicable so you know they have been tested and verified to meet industry safety standards for U.S. and Canada.
For products that are installed inside the wall of a home or office, UL listing is particularly important. The MediaMAX panel is one such product that meets the latest fire resistance criteria for in-wall installation and complies with UL-2416, Issue 2, Section 12.5, Communications Equipment Racks, Cabinets and Enclosures.
As a central distribution point for structured wiring in the premise, the MediaMAX panel is made of UL 94-V-0 rated flame retardant thermoplastic and has specially designed ventilation slots in the cover to provide superior airflow and heat dissipation to keep internal components cool.
At Suttle, we take pride in manufacturing products for telecommunications and CATV that are reliable and meet the highest industry standards.
